~ Blue Monday ~

 

Jesus said "With man this is impossible but with God, all things are possible!"  With that..Blue takes on a happier note!

How can you be blue when you can look at so many blue pretties?  I have to admit that blue is my favorite color and indigo and cobalt are my favorite shades.  (Pink is my second favorite!)  

 

 
My last one..I don't want anyone to get Blue Overload!  (is that possible?)

I just finished a pair of Indigo earrings. The round bead is lapis and the bottom bead is Labradorite.  They are blue and I put words in my earrings as these are my paper earrings.  They are about 16 layers all together and end up being about 1/16" thick with several layers of varnish, makes them very hard.  Click on the pictures for a closer look.

Even Hotter! 106! Where's the Snow?

I couldn't believe it when I saw the thermometer (in the shade) register 106 and with the heat index 118!!!  Yuck!  

Well, seeing as Pink Saturday is coming tomorrow I'll treat you to some cooling photos!   HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!  If you don't know what Pink Saturday is, it's a fun blog hop of Pinkness started by Beverly of How Sweet the Sound

This is my latest coolest find at the local flea market!  

 

 

And it works!!  I have to have an electrician look at the wire because it has a wear hole on the cord but it should be fixable.  I love it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm not the only one who loves it...It seems Sam does too but it is a little too big for her!

Sam is as hot as the rest of us.  Being so

hot outside her joints get loose so she desided to cool off in the bird bath!  The birds weren't too happy!  We've changed the bird bath water 4 times because the birds not only drink the water but they flap around bathing and what's left has been evaporating!

~ Red, White and Blue ~

 

Happy Independence Day!

Celebrate the Red, White & Blue!  I'm a little late due to parties but it's good to celebrate our great country any time!

My favorite colors for my kitchen have always been Red, White and Blue!  I remember in my other house I suggested a red kitchen and some people said that was "a stupid color for a kitchen", needless to say I did it anyway, I painted all the walls red with white trim, and white cupboards which I filled with blue  and white fancy teacups and my very special blue glass (cobalt) most of them are packed away until I find room for them. (hence the display cabinet being built!) ....someday it will be finished..  *sigh* 

This is a gorgeous table runner that my friend Noreen Strautin- quilter!  If you click on it you'll see the details in her work. She made is specially for me with only my color requests.
